The SMS Group is, at its heart, a commercial ship repairer. We’ve ship repair hubs in Lowestoft, Southampton and Bristol - with national coverage from a fleet of vehicles and mobile workshops.

Commercial ship repair is at the heart of SMS; many of our core skills and trades are derived from this challenging sector.  We undertake commercial ship repair across our network of eight sites; with key hubs in Lowestoft, Southampton and Bristol.  Our service offering full mobile and we work 24/7 in support of this demanding sector.

We have a dedicated shipyard in Lowestoft with a 75m dry dock, 100m of quayside, and dedicated workshops, machinery shops and a fabrication hall.
