The vessel is a 20.25m steel mono-hull workboat, designed for operation in the Port of Middlesbrough. Constructed and finished to the highest standard, this bespoke design showcases the engineering capabilities of SMS.
Svitzer Leven has been designed to collect recycling materials and refuse from larger foreign vessels visiting the ports of Middlesbrough, Hartlepool & Milford Haven.
Richard Young, Technical Development Manager, Svitzer: “The ‘Svitzer Leven’ is a great example of what Southampton Marine Sevices are fast building a reputation for – bespoke design and build with real attention to detail. The quality of the finished vessel is excellent and we were delighted with her performance during the recent sea trails. ‘Svitzer Leven’ will perform a vital role for the Port of Middlesbrough – our thanks to Bob Gray and all at SMS for a job well done”.
